W.C. Handy Home & Museum The museum houses the most complete collection in the world of Handy’s personal papers and artifacts. The library is a valuable resource center for African American history. A 1,447 square foot building has been added to the property to contain the items Handy left to the museum after his death in 1958.
Natchez Trace Parkway The 444-mile Natchez Trace Parkway commemorates an ancient trail that connected southern portions of the Mississippi River, through Alabama, to salt licks in today's central Tennessee.
Rosenbaum House This house was built for newlyweds Stanley and Mildred Rosenbaum of Florence, Alabama, in 1939. The house is the only structure designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the state of Alabama.
The Alabama Music Hall of Fame The Alabama Music Hall of Fame was a dream and goal of the Muscle Shoals Music Association, a Shoals area based professional organization of recording studio owners, producers, musicians, songwriters and other music professionals. In 1980, through their efforts, the State legislature, with leadership of State Senator Bobby Denton, created a state agency, the Alabama Music Hall of Fame Board, with a mandate to honor all of this state's great music achievers, and to build a facility in which to showcase these talented individuals and their accomplishments.
Ivy Green-Helen Keller Birthplace See the home of Helen Keller. The world famous water pump and the grounds are breathtaking. The Helen Keller museum and home of Annie Sullivan await you.
